Reservations for Año Nuevo Public Walks

Tour Description

Ano Nuevo State Reserve is home to a large colony of Northern Elephant Seals. The seals come ashore to give birth and mate from mid December through March. Public Seal Walks operate daily for individuals, families, or groups.

Important Information

You should arrive at least 15 minutes before your walk time to pick up your tickets. Valid Photo ID is required when picking up your tickets. Pets are not allowed in the Reserve and cannot be left inside parked vehicles in the parking lot. No kennels are available. Please make provisions for your pets. No smoking or eating is allowed on the walks. Parking fees are collected at the Reserve; Bus 10 to 24 passengers $50.00; Bus 25 or more passengers $100.00; Auto $7.00; Senior - Auto $6.00.

Accessibility

Equal Access guided walks for accessible visitors are available along a wooden boardwalk. Equal Access Walks are offered on Saturdays and Sundays from January through March and walk times are at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Reservations can be made by calling the Reserve at 650-879-2033, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. The price for the walk is $7.00 per person.

Amenities

Food or beverages are not sold at the Reserve, and water is not available on the trail. Picnic tables are available for use before, or after guided walks.
